Last week we learned about sailing in response to watching the America's Cup and Te Rehutai fly across the Waitemata Harbour.  Here is my work showing you about the wind directions and angles for sailing.

Te Rehutai


This week we were excited to be learning a bit about Te Rehutai,

the Team New Zealand AC 75 that has been sailing in the Waitemata Harbour. 

Here is my information.


Peter Burling is the skipper.

AC75  boat.

75 feet long` 22.8 metres .

Te Rehutai won the America's cup 2021 .

It does not have a keel .

Beam 5.4 metres .

Draft  5m(16 .5ft long).

Boat weight is 7 ton. 

NZ have been the most successful apart from America. 

Oldest sporting cup in the world. 

Can go up to 50 knots. 92 kilometres per hour.

Boat creation

Laylah, Sienna M and I made a sailboat it was call the Fast Fern. It had a a blue mast, the boat was made of a bottle, straws and fabric.
